Our Aquatic Journey and Methodology
The MundoAqua® Aquatic Journey for your Child. Before 6 months
A step-by-step process to transform the aquatic environment into a fun and safe space. More than 10 years dedicated to enhancing aquatic skills, promoting the aquatic room as more than an optional or after-school activity for children under 3 years old. Physical, Sensory-Proprioceptive, and Immunological Strengthening for Integral Development. We know that due to the lack of knowledge on how to leverage this early stage, the challenge is HUGE, and that is precisely what motivates us the most!
Sensory Awakening
Before your baby learns to crawl, water allows them to move freely, taking advantage of zero gravity. Here we leverage their brain plasticity to strengthen their neuro-development with absolute gentleness. We also introduce the first suggestions to enhance natural contact with the aquatic environment, stimulating important autoimmune responses through a gradual relationship with water elements, environments, climate, temperature, etc. It's one of the most fascinating stages because the one who "explains the process" the most is the baby itself.
Bonding and Secure Attachment
3 to 6 monthsYou are their safe haven. In this stage, Mom and Dad participate actively in the water. We teach them how to hold, transmit calmness, and interpret the baby's signals to build full aquatic confidence. Super importantly, although presented differently, we do not extend this Stage beyond 6 months, at which point it is crucial to progress according to evaluated results to work with a specialized baby Instructor.
Autonomy and MundoAqua® Aquatic Shielding
We do not force the process (we reject the old model of teaching them movements they are not prepared for, and even more so "survival" tactics which are far from the MundoAqua® philosophy). Through "meaningful play", your child learns how to manage flotation, balance, breathing, and movement, among other resources. Faced with an unexpected event, fully dressed in casual clothes, they will know how to resolve it, using effective skills. From the very first session, Mom and Dad learn how to support the process, a fundamental part of the MundoAqua® proposal, becoming an essential part of this MundoAqua® Aquatic Shielding process.
Initial Evaluation MundoAqua®
The first step in achieving Aquatic Skill for your Baby.
What happens during the MundoAqua® Initial Evaluation?
This is not a conventional "trial class". It is a professional diagnostic session of approximately 45 to 60 minutes where the Head Instructor evaluates:
- The baby's natural reaction to the aquatic environment.
- Immersion reflexes, motor skills, and muscle tone.
- Affective bonding, experience, relationship, and confidence towards the water. Depending on what the child allows the instructor, we evaluate responses to dynamics and skills present or in the process of changing. During this diagnosis, the parents do not enter the water. It allows us to know "if the child is aquatically safe or just knows how to swim". Based on the child's response, we determine whether we integrate them into the Child-Instructor Stage or if we must work for some time with the parents in the MundoAqua® AquaMom Stage.
MundoAqua® Professional Guarantee Policy
To reserve your space, travel, expertise, and the instructor's time (45-60 min), the evaluation session guarantee and blocking deposit is required.
This deposit is 100% credited towards your first monthly payment:
- If you decide to enroll in MundoAqua®: The amount is fully credited to your first monthly payment, making the initial evaluation, which is also highly useful, FREE*.
- If you choose not to continue the program: The deposit covers the consulting fees and the professional diagnosis received regarding the child's skills and level of aquatic relationship.

To take the next step in MundoAqua®, we invite you to provide information that allows us to personalize the program for your baby. The Instructor will check schedule availability and contact you to schedule your baby's Initial Assessment. We strongly suggest that even if you decide not to continue with MundoAqua®, you read the information presented here and always request a written Initial Evaluation with the same instructor who will attend to your child. For parents who tell us about these centers, we are emphatic: "We do not recommend changing instructors" at these very early ages.

Before you continue getting to know MundoAqua® please listen to the following audio, it is key to knowing how to care for your Baby's Swimming: "To know is to understand what they need and how to Protect so the process is playful, effective, and importantly at these ages, that it is also meaningful". Remember that the "best months to take advantage of these benefits are the first 12 months, 'year zero' and we are not talking about swimming...
Currently many children attend "baby swimming" proposals guided by their parents through "pretty Instagram pictures" and cliché phrases in their commercials. Mom and Dad please remember that your baby's aquatic education is for life. It demands from the instructor knowledge that to date no certification, university or independent specialty provides. Baby Swimming requires having real experience to know what to do with each child, not pretty photos with "copy-paste" texts. Avoid copies and imitations. Please always request the "evaluative" trial class with the SAME INSTRUCTOR who will guide your child. At these ages, changes of instructor ARE NOT RECOMMENDED. This exact instructor, and no one else, must detail the program that will be applied to your child. Do not pay attention to cliché phrases like: "we are certified", "happy duck method", "specialized in babies", "we bring the European/American technique", "we only do early aquatic stimulation", etc. Children whose parents did not know how to read these signs are the cases I receive most every day. Remember the first 12 months are vital, and I am not solely talking about swimming. After 20 years, the most important thing I have learned is that every baby "is a book to read..." If your geographic area gives you the great opportunity to work in natural environments, do not waste it, avoid "BUBBLE" type Baby Swimming Centers (closed environments).
Before deciding on the Instructor for your baby's swimming, it is very important that you know current trends and how to differentiate: What does my child need regarding aquatic activity? Age (an absolutely relative parameter), stage of development, personal characteristics, level of aquaticity, and their "Present or Forgotten" skills are key. The "objective evaluation" by Mom and Dad of the method or program presented to them must be based on real knowledge of this topic, and this assessment is much more important if your child is under 3 years of age.
